In war and conflict, women and children are always at the highest level of risk due to their inability to access health assistance and medical treatment. This was even more true during the Taliban regime when female patients were not allowed to be treated by male health workers. In addition, women were forbidden to work.
Environment
Most of the Afghan people are dependent on nature for survival and subsistence, but years of war and conflict have destroyed most of the environmental resources.
Education
King Habibullah was forced into exile when he introduced the first girls school in Afghanistan in 1924. Education for girls has always been a taboo in Afghanistan.
